Bristol Hospice’s immediate response to the COVID crisis began with the formation of a COVID-19 Response Committee. The committee is a multi-disciplinary group that monitors the CDC, state and local resources to glean the most current facts regarding the pandemic. The goal being to provide early, accurate and effective communication and work to enhance the safety of our employees, our patients, and families. The Response Committee guides the COVID-19 response and works to maintain compliance with public health and safety recommendations.
Our hospice employees receive ongoing education regarding COVID-19 self-monitoring and reporting of any symptoms of COVID-19 immediately. We consistently work with our patients and families to screen prior to every visit and upon entering the home or facility to keep our patients and employees safe.
